    Awarded: Awarded Amount: $175,000

    The SDA Stimulus Program provides targeted, industry-specific technical and financial assistance to businesses owned by people of color to address the immediate effects of the COVID-19 pandemic while planning for equitable recovery and sustained, inclusive growth for the region. Through a network of collaborators, the program conducts outreach to entrepreneurs and small business owners, and delivers specialized consulting services and tailored financial assistance. Expanding upon the program’s current activities, the SDA will also design funds and an investment banking platform to support longer-term growth. Together, these initiatives create wealth for communities of color in the regional economy.

    This grant is to support the work of the KSWG and its co-chair organizations. This grant will support the administration of Elevated Knowledge Sharing Working Group including convening the WG, serve as point of contact for Elevated partners regarding data needs and narratives development, tracking of Elevated initiatives and work, mapping, project management and website maintenance and updating. This grant requires a mid-year check-in in July and a final report to be sent to Marly Schott at marly@elevatedchicago.org no later than January 14, 2022.

    This grant is to support the work of the CPWG and its co-chairs. The CPWG advances equitable investments and programming by informing EC’s deployment of grants, capital alignment, development of vacant land and arts & culture strategies, and technical assistance to local programs. This grant requires a mid-year check-in in July and a final report to be sent to Marly Schott at marly@elevatedchicago.org no later than January 14, 2022
