Lee Hart is the program officer for education at The Chicago Community Trust. In this role, Hart oversees the Trust’s portfolio of college- and career-ready education strategies with responsibility to implement initiatives, programs and grant making that drive success for under-represented students.
Prior to joining the Trust, Hart spent five years as executive director of High Jump Chicago, a nonprofit organization providing academic enrichment and support for middle grade students. Over her career, she has served in a variety of nonprofit leadership roles and public teaching and administrative positions at high schools, community colleges, universities and nonprofits in North Carolina, Virginia and Massachusetts.
Hart holds a bachelors degree from Dartmouth College, a masters degree in English education from Wake Forest University and a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from Virginia Commonwealth University.
