Sarah Sapperstein serves as the manager of strategic donor services for The Chicago Community Trust.
In this role, she is responsible for implementing and coordinating a donor relations and stewardship system that promotes interaction with Trust donors, fund advisors, and designated beneficiaries that are connected to donor advised funds and designated endowment funds.
For nearly 15 years, Sarah has served as an advancement officer, grant manager, and strategy partner for some of Chicago’s most prominent not-for-profits. Her work in front-line engagement, communications, and grant writing has helped drive organizations’ relationships with donors across our city and beyond. Her experience includes the arts, arts education, academia, social justice, and health and human services, supporting organizations including Chicago Children’s Choir, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Anti-Defamation League, and University of Chicago.
Originally from Baltimore, Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Redlands and a Masters of Liberal Arts from the University of Chicago.
