Paula Wolff is the policy advisor at the Illinois Justice Project.
The Illinois Justice Project is a civic organization implementing policy initiatives and programs to improve the justice system. Wolff has spent the last two decades focused on juvenile and criminal justice reform. At the Illinois Justice Project, she works to advance policies and practices that reduce violence, decrease recidivism, and make the justice system more equitable.
Earlier in her career, Wolff worked as policy director for Illinois Governors Richard Ogilvie and Jim Thompson and served as president of Governors State University. She has taught at Governors State and the University of Chicago. Wolff serves on numerous boards, including Ariel Investments, the Johnson Foundation, the Irving B. Harris Foundation, emerita on the University of Chicago Board and the University of Chicago Medical Center, and as Vice-President of the Chicago Police Board. She has also served as Chair of the Illinois Tollway and City Colleges of Chicago.
