Jerome’ (pronounced “Jeremy”) Holston is the major gifts manager for The Chicago Community Trust.
In this role, he manages fundraising and donor cultivation. Prior to this role, Jerome’ spent several years as the Executive Director of the LGBT Chamber of Commerce of Illinois. Before that, Jerome’ was an Associate Director with CCS Fundraising and was the Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff in Governor Pat Quinn’s office. Jerome’ first joined The Chicago Community Trust as Campaign Manager for the We Rise Together: For an Equitable & Just Recovery initiative.
He currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Illinois Small Business Development Center, and First Women’s Bank. He previously served as Co-Chair of AFP Chicago LGBTQ+ Affinity Group, Board Member of YNPN Chicago, and in 2020 was listed among Crain’s Notable LGBTQ Executives, and 40 Under 40 Game Changer by Ariel Investments and WVON.
He has a BA in Communications from Alabama State University and an MPA in non-profit management from the University of Illinois at Springfield. Jerome’ is a graduate of the Civic Leadership Academy at the University of Chicago.
