Alex Battaglia is an institutional giving specialist at The Chicago Community Trust.
In this role, Alex connects institutional giving with Trust initiatives and partnerships. He collaborates with the Trust’s Philanthropic Services team, Affinity Funds, Community Impact team, and Collaboratives to present and report on funding opportunities.
Alex comes to the Trust with a passion for community-centric fundraising and mission-led programs. His previous roles include grant consulting at Melanie Palmer Consulting, food banking at Feeding America, and community development work with the United States Peace Corps. He is a current member of the Grant Professionals Association.
An Arkansas native, Alex completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Central Arkansas where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Political Science and received a J. William Fulbright award. He also holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
