Our region’s future depends on inclusive, effective relations among all residents, across our spectrum of diverse communities. In order to thrive as a leading global city, Chicago must address the persistent racial isolation and cultural conflict that threaten our civic vitality and prosperity.
The Trust promotes a region that fosters the full participation and inclusion of all residents in civic action for the common good. We work to enhance public safety and reduce underlying causes of violence by seeking out and supporting innovative strategies that reduce inequity and social conflict. Through grant making, civic engagement programs and convening diverse stakeholders around a common table, we support skilled, knowledgeable leadership for our local nonprofit ecosystem and our communities.
