Christena Gunther


Christena Gunther is the founder and co-chair of the Chicago Cultural Accessibility Consortium, a volunteer-run group of cultural administrators and representatives from the disability community with a mission to empower Chicago’s cultural spaces to become more accessible to visitors with disabilities. CCAC is the project administrator of the ADA 25 for 25 Cultural Access Project, an initiative of ADA 25 Chicago.

Gunther is the community programs coordinator at Elmhurst Historical Museum. Previously, she worked to build accessibility for visitors with disabilities at the Metropolitan Museum and Lincoln Center, and was a member of New York’s Museum Access Consortium steering committee.
